Decorating for Christmas is my absolute favorite thing to do. This time of year, my living room starts to look like a Winter Wonderland, and my heart starts to skip a beat every time I walk into the room. I love the winter whites and the mercury glass ornaments on my tree and today I would like to share these with you!
I bought most of my mercury glass ornaments from Pottery Barn, antique stores and while on vacation. These are my favorite ones from Amazon. I have 3 sets!
I bet you can tell by looking that I am just a tad “over the top” when it comes to Christmas décor, especially my tree! I try to fill literally every spot there is with something shiny. I still have more to add to this tree, but I am planning to wait until I finish decorating the rest of my five Christmas trees. I am hoping that the ornaments I have been looking for were put away with my other ornaments. Fingers crossed!
The white pom-pom “snowball” garlands are the first thing you notice on my tree and one of my favorite things, besides the red mercury glass vintage ornaments I have scattered throughout.
I had a difficult time getting a good picture from the outside. Plus I didn’t want to have to explain to my neighbors why I was playing peeping Tom in my own window!
I love personalized ornaments too! It makes me feel like my family is close to me instead of 1200 miles away. I made these using clear glass ornaments, red glitter and lettering I made with my Cricut machine.
One of my other favorite ornaments are these glittered pinecones I bought at earlyhomesteadprimitives.com many years ago. I do not think they sell ornaments anymore, but their jar candles and scented room sprays are A-mazing! I have the “Backwoods Christmas” Jar Candle.
My Biltmore ornament! LOVE!
I will show you the rest of the living room and entryway soon. I hope that you have enjoyed reading this today and that I have inspired you to deck the halls!
