Blogging Resources

When we decided to create this blog, we searched the internet for information about where to begin.  It was overwhelming.  Listed here are resources that we used (and were the most helpful) when we created Inspire Me 2 DIY.

Blogging Resources

I wish I had found this site soooo much earlier in my quest for information about how/where to begin.

On their home page is a menu choice, “How to Start a blog“. I recommend starting there.  You can join the Blogging for New Bloggers Facebook group (a link is on their home page).  This group is a great resource to answer questions, give encouragement and support.

One of their menu choices is Blogging Legally. A must read!  They offer free online courses and some premium courses (fees associated).

Here are a few of the online courses offered. Some are free, others are for a premium.

I earn a small percentage from purchases made using the affiliate links on this page. Affiliate links are not sponsored. I am offering them here because they have been and are a they are a great resource.

Restored316 (blog themes)

Which theme to choose?

Looked at a lot of them when creating this site.

I liked the look and feel of the themes offered at Restored316designs.com.

I found them easy to use, clear instructions, and compared to other themes I looked at, affordable.

The theme chosen for Inspire Me 2 DIY is Beloved.

I also choose to recommend her themes because of her philosophy typified by something she has written on her site.

“Your gorgeous heart deserves a gorgeous website. We help you get that without breaking your bank, eating twelve cupcakes or losing sleep.”

BlueHost Web Hosting

Why did I choose BlueHost?

After checking reviews, reading about how many found it easy to use, it was the best choice. Haven’t regretted it a bit.

I have found it easy to use and it offers advanced bells and whistles.

(Haven’t used many of them, yet.)

There are other web hosts out there, but BlueHost has proven the best choice for us.
