my Easter home tour

“I’ve been working hard to get my home ready for the spring season. There are so many parts to consider!

Take a look at my Easter home tour. I’m happy to see that you’ve made it to our front doors. The little bench on the left was a gift from our son, and I love sitting out here in the afternoons.

It’s so peaceful. Our “Hello Spring” leaner is from Hobby Lobby, and the ball bushes are faux. I’m thrilled about the faux bushes because they don’t need to be watered.”

Take a moment to notice the elegant oval brass plaque on the right-hand side.

It bears the name “Twin Palms House,” which we carefully chose to reflect our deep appreciation for the southern heritage when people named their dwellings.

The date etched onto the plaque – a significant year for us – serves as a reminder of the moment we became proud owners of this beautiful home.

As you approach my home and turn into the driveway, you’ll immediately notice the vibrant tulip wreath hanging on my front door.

The wreath is made up of a variety of colorful tulips, including shades of pink, and white.

It’s handcrafted with care and is a true statement piece that adds a touch of beauty and warmth to my home’s exterior.

I love coming home each day and seeing the wreath welcoming me back.

When you first enter our home, you will notice a wooden chest of drawers that has been well-loved, but is not an antique.

We purchased it a few years ago during one of our adventures. The chest houses all of our table linens and napkin rings. Trust me, it is full to the brim!

Behind the chest is an antique window that was salvaged from a schoolhouse in Ohio. The chippy blue paint on the window is my absolute favorite!

On the right side of the wooden chest, you can find our living room and dining room.

Our home is designed with an open-concept, except for the kitchen which is placed right in the middle of the room.

The kitchen divides the room into three different spaces: the living room, family room, and the dining room. You can find links to the living room chairs mentioned at the end of this post.

Our dining room is where we host many parties throughout the year and our Bible study group every Friday.

We’ve taken great care to prepare our table for Easter dinner. The pink glassware adds a touch of elegance to the setting, and the bead-rimmed chargers provide a perfect complement to the glassware.

We’ve opted for battery-operated tapers instead of traditional candles for the safety of our guests and to avoid any potential accidents.

With every detail carefully considered, we’re looking forward to a beautiful and memorable Easter feast.

This year, I decided to decorate my dining table with pewter bunny napkin rings and place card holders, which I purchased from Pottery Barn.

I received a gift card for my birthday, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to buy the accessories that I had been eyeing for a while.

The napkin rings have an intricate design, with each bunny having its own unique features. The place card holders are equally charming, and they add a touch of whimsy to the table.

I’m really happy with how they look on my table, and they match perfectly with the blue and white theme that I have going on. Overall, I think they are a great addition to my dining room decor.

My daughter and I spent some quality time together creating these lovely eggs. We used a decoupage technique to decorate them with some beautiful napkins.

The process involved cutting out the designs from the napkins and gluing them onto the paper mache eggs.

We took great care to ensure that the napkins were carefully positioned and smoothed out to prevent any creases or bubbles.

If you’re interested in learning more about the process and how we made them, you can click here.

The final result is stunning, and the matching flower pots are covered with the same napkin design. Click on the picture below to see how I made the flower pots.

These glass egg-shaped candle holders are a stunning addition to any home decor. They are designed to be opened, making it easy to add a battery-operated candle of your choice.

Once lit, the soft glow emanating from the candle creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a long day or entertaining guests.

I purchased these candle holders from Home Goods a few years back, and they have been a beloved item in my home ever since.

They are not only beautiful, but also practical and versatile, making them a great investment for any homeowner.

Saving the best for last, let us not forget the true reason we celebrate this holiday.

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, paid an enormous price He did not owe for a debt I could not pay.

Love to you and your family this Easter.

Hi, I’m Danielle!

I am the designer, writer and diy’er behind this blog. I enjoy decorating my home for practically nothing by doing most of the work myself, finding new and imaginative ways to make it beautiful and by watching for killer sales. I find humor almost anywhere and can laugh at myself through it all. I have learned that most projects don’t go exactly as intended, but can be more beautiful than the original plan.
