First up, our fall front porch.
Some of the pillows on my bench and my fringed throw are from my Fall Mood Board and the Beach House pillow is one that I made a few years back. I just drew the letters on the canvas and painted them with acrylic paints. I made my own pillow covers, but you can buy pre made blanks here.
I had difficulty getting the lighting just right because our home faces west. So, anytime after 1:00pm, there are shadows on the porch. I happened to get lucky for these photos because it happened to be overcast this day. That doesn’t happen much in the sunny state of Florida! The picture below shows my dilema. ☹
I also made the fall sign from scrap wood, chip board letters and acrylic paint. I painted a Christmas sign on the back so I can use this baby for both holidays…score! I plan on framing it as soon as I get a spare minute, so not likely any time soon! Ha!
I had so much fun styling this porch! I scored the pumpkins and the mums at a roadside fruit stand. My copper pumpkins are from an after-season sale at Kirkland’s from a few years back.
I bought two papier-mâché pumpkins from Hobby Lobby last weekend for 40% off and painted them with acrylic paint using a foam brush. My white pumpkins are also from my “Fall Mood Board.”
I put these fall wreaths together by wrapping two wire wreath frames with fall leaf garlands and adding pumpkin, pinecone and berry floral picks! They don’t exactly match each other, but I think they turned out pretty great! It cost around $25 each to make! Win-win! Let me know in the comments if you would add ribbons or not (I’m still on the fence about this).
I love how the fall colors look against the white and black accents of the house! Orange has always been my favorite color.
Even if trick or treating does not happen this year, hopefully families will drive around to see the decorations like John and I do at Christmas.
At night I place battery operated candles around the pumpkins for an eerie look. The candles are actually made out of wax and cannot stay out during the day due to the heat.
There you have it! The first week of my mini fall home tour! Next week I will be showcasing our living room and dining room fall décor. I am SUPER excited to show you what I have done!
As you can see, most of my décor is homemade or bought on sale. You don’t have to have a large budget to decorate your home! Thank you so much for joining me on this adventure! I am forever grateful!
