Gearing Up for the Holiday Season

Today I want to have a discussion about getting a jump start on the holidays.  I know that it seems like a long way off, but if you are like me, it’s difficult to afford buying the gifts all at once.  In fact, I start earlier than this and by “earlier” I mean July-ish!  It really makes the holiday season go smoother and less harried.  I even have a little extra cash to buy more decorations.

I have always been more of a metallic lover when it comes to Christmas!  Silver reindeer and wreaths, golden glitter trees and white cable-knit stockings!  LOVE!

Here are a few of my favorites. Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I may get a small commission, at no extra cost to you, should you make a purchase.

Now, if you are more of a traditionalist and red is your go to, these treasures are for you!  Those cable knit stockings are a steal at $25.99 for all six!  As a knitter, I know that is an awesome price!  I bought these in white and was very surprised at the excellent quality!

Now, onto gifts for the men in your life.  These are some of the things I am planning on purchasing.  Ssshhhh! Don’t tell John.  The best part is that all items on the gift boards are under $50!  Yep yep!  What about those gloves with the LED lights in them!  Eeeeeee!!!  I so want a pair of those!  What man doesn’t look amazing in a cashmere scarf?  It’s only $44.99 and comes in a bunch of colors. 😊

Now, for the ladies.  I am loving that journal and for $28.99! I love journaling because it keeps me grounded and headed in the right direction…mostly. Ha! “God Hears Her” is an excellent daily devotion written by women for women. It comes in hard cover and digital format! I also put in a few items for pampering on cold days and even though it doesn’t get too cold here, pampering yourself is always welcome!

Now on to the babies!  I am showcasing only toys that help children imagine, learn and exercise their bodies.  No “sit on your bum and stare at a screen” toys here! 😉  Their brains can imagine that they are on safari, or create a masterpiece with markers.  You can have dart tournaments or better yet, get outside and kick a soccer ball around!

This last board is a “what to wear” for parties and concerts (when those things happen again).  I know that they won’t happen this year, but they will again and hopefully, we will appreciate them even more.  All of these items are reasonably priced and look stunning in person!  I have to admit, the jammies are my favorite!  😉

Hi, I’m Danielle!

I am the designer, writer and diy’er behind this blog. I enjoy decorating my home for practically nothing by doing most of the work myself, finding new and imaginative ways to make it beautiful and by watching for killer sales. I find humor almost anywhere and can laugh at myself through it all. I have learned that most projects don’t go exactly as intended, but can be more beautiful than the original plan.
