Hanging Curtains

I don’t know why I’ve waited so long, but I am finally hanging curtains in my master bedroom. I mean, we’ve only lived in this house 3 years (come this April)! We have lived with those ugly metal horizontal blinds FOR 3 YEARS!!! It’s not like I haven’t thought about it. It’s just that I have not found THE curtains for THE price up until now. So, off to Amazon I go! The Denconovo company, via Amazon, makes these beautiful blackout curtains in a ton of pretty colors. I chose Greyish White in 108” length (due to my 10’ ceilings). They come as a pair for only $36.54! They have a back-tab feature, which is my personal favorite and a rod pocket if you prefer that. Here is a link to the curtains I purchased.

You could also hang these beauties with curtain rod clip rings if you so desire.

They come with tie backs also and have a thermal insulated lining for extreme temperatures and are supposed to block out outside noise (fingers crossed).

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. The fabric has an amazing luxury silk-type feel (think dupioni) and has a heavy weight to it. I hung them a foot down from the ceiling. Right now, the height looks a little drastic, but I plan on trimming my windows out with wood, so it won’t look so extreme when it’s all said and done.

I also bought my curtain rods through Amazon. Two shorter rods for my smaller window and one large rod for the picture window that faces the lanai and pool. I originally wanted a rose gold rod, but after looking around at my lighting and dresser drawer hardware, I opted for brushed nickel to complete the “vibe.”

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I may get a small commission, at no extra cost to you, should you make a purchase.

Here is a ink to the shorter rods I purchased on Amazon.  And a link to the longer rod purchased on Amazon.

Make sure you follow the directions that come in the package for hanging your curtain rods. I am notorious for trying to “wing it.”

So here they are in all their glory! I still have those ugly blinds up for now, but have been looking for woven shades for months.

It really pays to wait and research all your options and pricing before pulling the trigger. I couldn’t be happier with this choice of window treatments and you can’t beat the price!

Please drop me a comment below. I would love to hear your thoughts, questions or concerns on this. Until next week…
