My Easter Table 2021

Happy Easter, everyone! Our Lord and Savior has risen! Hallelujah!

Since the cross is traditionally draped in purple on Resurrection Sunday, I decided to start my holiday table with this beautiful purple polyester fabric. The silky sheen it has lends a touch of lux and drama to my table. I used 5 yards of fabric to get this look.

Next, I used my pedestal cake stand collection to give my decorations various landing spots. The different heights are pleasing to the eyes as they scan all the Easter goodies. I get a ton of questions from people wanting to know about my “vintage” cake stand collection. I actually made these from glassware found at garage sales and inexpensive taper candle holders from the Dollar Tree. I glued the pieces together with clear E6000 glue (be careful not to buy the black one).

I made this yellow one a few years ago at a paint your own pottery studio. I used daisy stamps for the design. 😊

Notice the flower pot and the paper mâché eggs that I decoupaged using paper napkins and Mod Podge? You can see my video on how to make the flower pot here. The process is the same for the eggs.

I then placed my seashell design plates at each setting with my smaller Fiestaware plates in sunflower and turquoise on top. I did not have enough of one color, so I improvised!
Notice the cute little napkin ring? You can watch my video on how to make it here.

I probably should have gone with a solid color napkin in maybe pink or yellow, but I had some fabric left over from another project in this fun little print that just said, “Hello Spring!”

I sewed around the edges and then pulled each thread until it made a fringe around the napkin. So cute!

Do you notice the tiny flower pots at each place setting? Those are made with ½ of a plastic Easter egg glued to a marble hexagon tile again with E6000 glue. You can watch my video here if you want to learn how to make this beauty!

I had such a good time setting up this tablescape for my friends! I cannot wait for them to get here! After dinner we like to play table games, drink coffee and have a luscious dessert!

My bunny candy dishes are ready and waiting!

This little cutie was made by friends of mine using all materials from the Dollar Tree! Isn’t this sweet?! I just love it!

And let’s not forget the reason for this season!

I hope that my tablescape inspires you to try your hand at table decorating. Dust off that beautiful wedding china and get fancy! Even if it is only for you and your hubby. If you don’t have the fancy stuff, take what you do have and glam it up! My water glasses are from the Dollar Tree, my seashell dinner plates as well as my Fiestaware salad dishes are from Kohl’s.

My dining room set used to consist of a 6-foot folding table and metal folding chairs. My current dining set we found at the edge of the street with a free sign on it! God is good! Yay!! What matters the most is the memories you make and the friends who join you! Happy Easter!

Hi, I’m Danielle!

I am the designer, writer and diy’er behind this blog. I enjoy decorating my home for practically nothing by doing most of the work myself, finding new and imaginative ways to make it beautiful and by watching for killer sales. I find humor almost anywhere and can laugh at myself through it all. I have learned that most projects don’t go exactly as intended, but can be more beautiful than the original plan.
