my patriotic decor

July is almost here and that means it’s time to pull out all of my patriotic décor! Yay!

Summer and the 4th of July are my absolute favorite (except of course for Christmas)! 😉

So, this week I started to unpack all of my patriotic decor to see what I need to buy while it is on sale!

I did pick up this sweet America sign at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago.

I love that it is woodgrain and white and not the typical red, white, and blue because this way I can display it throughout the year.

I think this USA sign that I made last year is going to go out on my front porch. It will look really good with the rest of my porch décor. That bow with the silver star is so sweet!

This mini flag looks super cute hanging from my nautical spy glass! It’s vintage-look is just the right touch in front on my antique window!

The little flags perched in my seashell-filled vase were made by a very talented friend of mine.

The little metal flower in the center of the cloth circle flower is cut from a tinfoil disposable cookie sheet! I love it!

The flag table sitter is from Hobby Lobby about two years ago.

You can see how small it is in this picture (below). To the left is my DIY flag made from paint stir sticks, leftover denim and gold star buttons.

Here is another grouping I was working on. I am in LOVE with the home, sweet, home sign on the wall. I made the USA banner from wood flag pieces, twine, smaller wooden stars and scrapbook paper.

One of my most favorite free printables is this lovely flag that I put with an inexpensive frame painted with chalk paint.

The whole project cost less than $10! Doesn’t it look great with my vintage jar or marbles? Eeeeeeee!

A few years ago, a close friend of mine gave me this really great flag straw bag. It is even sweeter in person.

I love using it on summer shopping trips with girlfriends or at the county fair to watch the fireworks.

This little USA sign is so cute with that frilly bow! All the different ribbons really “tie” the rest of the pieces together (see what I did there?).

I hope you enjoyed this little patriotic tour of my home! I so enjoyed showing it to y’all! I can’t wait to update this year’s patriotic décor with some new pieces I either buy or make. Stay tuned! 😊

Hi, I’m Danielle!

I am the designer, writer and diy’er behind this blog. I enjoy decorating my home for practically nothing by doing most of the work myself, finding new and imaginative ways to make it beautiful and by watching for killer sales. I find humor almost anywhere and can laugh at myself through it all. I have learned that most projects don’t go exactly as intended, but can be more beautiful than the original plan.
