new wallpaper in the kitchen

Sometimes a change (even a little one) can alter your whole outlook. When we moved into our home almost 5 years ago, our kitchen and breakfast nook was covered in wallpaper with pink and mint green splotches all over it.

But all that has changed now. Come and see the new wallpaper in the kitchen.

About 3 years ago, I pulled off the wallpaper painted the nook black, added wood trim to the windows and built banquet seating but the kitchen was left without paint or wallpaper because I could not decide on what to do. We recently painted the door black as well.

Now our kitchen walls consist of one wall behind the refrigerator, a post in the corner of our “L” shaped island and a piece of wall that crosses over the top of the island.

It is such a funky shape you can see why I am having a difficult time figuring out paint and or wallpaper.

I knew that I wanted to wallpaper this area, but was having a difficult time deciding on a pattern. It had to play nice with our countertops as well as the black walls of the nook. After years of looking on and off for the perfect paper, I finally found THE one.

The wallpaper I chose from Amazon.com

I gotta say, I am glad I waited so long! I absolutely LOVE this paper! It is peel and stick so no using water or paste and no mess! Yay!

Unfortunately, I did not buy enough so I had to order more, but here is how it looks right now! Super happy with how it turned out!

I will post more photos once it is all finished!

Little things like paint and wallpaper can change the whole look and feel of your home. I know that it has put a little “pep in my step” every time I look at it! 😊 I hope you enjoyed this article on the new wallpaper in the kitchen.
