Today I have the pleasure of showing you my Thanksgiving table!  Most of which I’ve made from scraps of leftover leaf garland, pinecones, cardboard and inexpensive plastic pumpkins!

I went with a table runner as opposed to a full tablecloth.  As you can see, my tabletop is scarred from many family gatherings.  Unfortunately, not my family.  My husband found this table sitting outside our neighbor’s house with a “Free to a good home” note attached to it.  I love the look of worn, well-loved wood.

I always use my seashell dishes for special occasions.  They go very well with my Thanksgiving and Christmas pieces and they give my table that “coastal” flare I love so well!

My gold “leaf” glasses are a vintage find and my pedestal dessert dishes are made from a taper candle holder with a larger candle dish glued on top!  Pretty neat, huh?!  I would love to find glass domed tops to make mini cloches, but have not found any yet.

Last year I had bought a bunch of leaf, pinecone, acorn and berry garlands on sale after-season at Hobby Lobby for a grand total of $25.  I had ideas on how I wanted to use them so this year I dug them out and went to work making two wreaths, a table centerpiece and 8 napkin rings.  I glued loose leaves to my candles with hot glue

My white pumpkin centerpiece is from my Fall Mood Board.  You get 12 nice size pumpkins for $25!  I wrapped them with some of the leftover garland berries and acorns.  I love all the orange, yellow and dark red colors of the season!

One thing I made extra this year is my leaf placemats.  As you can see, I made two different designs.  I don’t like uniformity. 😉 Next week I’ll show you just how I did it!

One thing to remember when you set a table for a special occasion, don’t skimp on the details! Little things like hidden pinecones and individualized stemware charms make your event much more extraordinary. You would be surprised how many times friends and family have pointed out some little detail and have said how special it made them feel.

I made these wreaths out of the leftover garland also! I had a LOT of leftover garlands! Ha! I just wrapped two wire frame wreath forms with the garland and voila!

Last, but certainly not least, is my after-dinner coffee bar.  I love coffee at the end of a meal especially with dessert!

This set up is very fun and informal.  I have my colorful Fiestaware™ and a few pumpkins scattered about.  Afterall, you can NEVER have too many pumpkins!

Let’s face it, the best Thanksgiving table you can ever set cannot compare to the family around it.  Now more than ever family is so important.  So, if all you have is mismatched plastic dishes from Dollar Tree, but you have family, brother you are rich!
